Ann loved to get her "hands in the dirt"!  She had the greenest thumb of anyone I have ever known!  She could take a patch of dirt and make it beautiful!  I remember when I went off to college in the fall of 1978 to ASU, she made me a couple of potted plants for my dorm room and unfortunately when I returned home for Christmas break, I brought her the empty pots!  I am doing much better now, but Hope is the one that got the "green thumb" from Mama!
