About
Ann was recruited by the FBI when she graduated from Oxford High School to work in Washington DC as a teletype operator.  This was during the rein of J. Edgar Hoover. She also met her first husband, Rod on a blind date that was set up by their mutual friends.  This picture was taken to send to Rod while he was stationed in Saudi Arabia right after their marriage.
Here is a picture of Mama with her Daddy, "Willie" and her Brother, Burt that was taken in the kitchen of her Daddy's house.  This was Ann's immediate family as her Mother, Annie Belle passed away when she was 17 years old and her sister, Mildred Helen died from pneumonia when she was 1 & 1/2 years old.  I remember many a good meal served in this kitchen!  Willie's sister, Maude Hight moved in with him after her husband passed away and they took care of each other!  Between Papa Willie (the entertainer) and Aunt Maude (the best cook) we had some great times on Hancock Street!
